From the farm to our school cafeteria!

Our students visited Austin Schroder Memorial Farm to pick locally grown sweet corn! Students and staff then worked together to process 40 pounds of corn that will be served in our school meals throughout the winter.

This hands-on experience taught valuable life skills, science concepts, and food preservation techniques while connecting students to local agriculture.

These are the real-world learning opportunities that bring education to life!

Our students had the opportunity to learn about careers in the radio industry, tour the station, and see firsthand how radio broadcasting works. They also got to step behind the microphones and share what they’ve been doing at Vilas in our Food Production and Sports Media classes.

Experiences like this help students connect what they are learning in school to real-world careers and opportunities. What a great learning experience for our students!

Our young engineers are diving into the exciting world of engineering! From chemical engineering to the Splash Zone, students are learning to design, test, collect data, and improve their creations.

Through hands-on challenges, students are developing critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork while discovering how engineering connects to the real world.

🎭 From the Page to the Stage! The Arts Matter! 🎭

Our students took a quick trip to Denver to experience the Broadway production of The Outsiders!

Many of our students read the novel last year, making this an incredible opportunity to see the characters, emotions, and story come to life on stage. 📖✨

The arts matter! They inspire creativity, build empathy, deepen understanding, and allow students to experience literature in a whole new way.

🎓 Exploring Careers & Connecting with History!

Our Junior High and High School students had a great day of learning beyond the classroom! Students attended the Lamar Community College (LCC) Career Fair, where they explored career pathways and opportunities for their futures.

They also visited the Big Timbers Museum, connecting with our region’s rich history and heritage.

From exploring future possibilities to discovering our past, it was a day full of learning and new experiences!
