🎓🚀 On Friday, our high school student had an amazing trip to Goodland, Kansas, to visit Fort Hays NorthWest Tech! 🌟 They explored a range of hands-on programs and discovered exciting extracurricular and sports opportunities. From practical training to engaging activities, the visit was a fantastic eye-opener for all the possibilities ahead. 📚⚽️🏀
The student came away inspired and enthusiastic about the diverse opportunities available. A big thanks to Fort Hays NorthWest Tech for showcasing all the incredible options! 🌟👏
We are proud to be the participating in the Local Food Program in partnership with Colorado Department of Education and Nourish Colorado. We thank Gayla and Dennis Thompson for their beautiful squash and cherry tomatoes. The large bounty of tomatoes are from the Vilas School garden.

🍂🎃 Our Vilas Elementary students had an amazing time diving into fun, hands-on fall activities! From crafting delicious pretzel snacks to exploring science with flying ghost experiments and making bird feeders for our feathered friends 🐦, a day of learning, creativity, and seasonal fun!
Vilas High School students had an incredible trip to Liberal, Kansas, where they explored the educational opportunities at Seward County Community College and visited the Mid-America Air Museum. It was amazing to see the range of post-secondary options and trades available, showcasing the ultimate potential for hands-on learning and career development. And a quick stop for a equipment part for a local farmer rewarded the students with a new hat from Keating!

Today our YAT team participated in the Teen Truth JC Pohl leadership conference in partnership with SE BOCES. JH/HS South Baca students collaborated on issues and solutions to support students to overcome barriers. We're looking forward to continuing the conversation!
